The Ving Project is a national movement sparking the next generation of givers. Backed by an anonymous family in Chicago that believes in the spirit of giving, teens have an opportunity to give an individual in need an encouraging boost by surprising them with $1,000.
Meet the Philanthropists: Dominic Dentice
“If you had $1,000 to give to a person in need, who would you ving it to?”
Dominic is a student at the Back of the Yards College Prep in Chicago. He heard about Ving in art class, when his teacher thought it would be a great end of year activity: “Let’s decide who to give $1,000 to.” The students had a chance right there in class to make a video to submit to Ving and the opportunity to receive $1,000 to pass forward. Dominic was one of the first kids to jump out of his seat and apply. He knew exactly who he wanted to Vinghis beloved grade school teacher, Ms Ramos.
